Wedding weekends are a whirlwind so choosing to get away on a little trip right after our wedding was the perfect way to end the wedding celebrations. Since we got married in February, we were waiting until my summer vacation for our honeymoon to Thailand. I am so glad we took time in between because it allowed me to focus on wedding planning separately from planning our honeymoon. I'd highly recommend a mini-moon for anyone who is in a similar timeline!
Living so close to the insanity that is Times Square comes with its challenges, the crowds, the slow walkers and did I mention the crowds? However, once you walk west and cross 8th Avenue, the pace slows a bit and the further west you walk, the calmer it gets. We have lived in Hell's Kitchen for the past 5 years and in that time have come to frequent certain local gems amongst the tourist traps. We love supporting our smaller, local business owners in the midst of country-wide chains and sub-par food (but don't get me wrong, I still love me some Chipotle & Dunkin).
