We slept in a bit and had our last breakfast at the Peninsula. I remember to take some pics of what my typical breakfast is next to Andy's. We had a 12:30 flight and left for the airport around 10. With heavy traffic for a while it was a bit of a trek. We checked in through the Bangkok Airways priority line because Andy knows how to sweet talk (or not sweet talk if necessary) airline employees. That moved saved us at least 45 minutes in the economy baggage line! Our flight was pretty uneventful with a little delay.
Our hotel here is a bit outside the main tourist area and it is absolutely gorgeous. It's a 30 room hotel built around the old main house held up by 137 Pillars which is where it got its name 137 Pillars House. We explored the grounds, went to happy hour and possibly even caught some Big Brother thanks to Andy's skills once again. Man, I sure did pick the right one :) Tomorrow we're off very early to Patara Elephant Farm and I can hardly wait to spend the day with our adopted elephant for the day!
