Our wedding's colors were black and white so that was the trend I wanted to stick with when it came to the florals-classic, simple and tight bouquets. I knew I wanted my favorites to make an appearance: hydrangeas, peonies, ranunculus and the show stoppers, anemones to draw in the black. I have also been at weddings where the florals take center stage and not the event or setting itself and I didn't want that to be the case. I wanted the florals to blend with the venue and also allow guests to freely speak to other guests across the table from them. Beyond that I used Pinterest to browse ideas and share inspiration with my incredible floral designer, Emily from Emily Reid Events. I am such a visual person so beyond explaining some basic ideas, I needed her to see my vision from my board and bring back some ideas. It is so important to hire someone who can execute your vision and also be flexible and open-minded to your changes. She was able to bring all my floral dreams to life and I could not recommend working with her more if you're in the NYC area!
